Student Placements
RMIT partnership
The CISVic student program is a partnership with the RMIT School of Social Work. Students are placed in CISVic member agencies with an agency staff member as their task supervisor. RMIT provides professional social work supervision for students through a Field Educator with a deep and long association with CISVic and our member agencies.
CISVic agencies provide a unique learning opportunity for social work students, as they support a broad range of people with an equally broad range of issues. Student placements have been found to help agencies build capacity by introducing new ideas and undertaking client and non-client work alongside paid and volunteer staff. Agency task supervisors are experienced in supporting and guiding students and enjoy helping the next generation of social workers understand our sector.
